Give A Dog A Bone...

Give a dog a bone and they will normally chew it - but poor Finlay has had such a deprived puppyhood he doesn't know what they are or what to do with them.

We bought some hide chews (bone shaped) today and when we gave one to Finlay he thought it was a toy. Katie got straight into hers. Finlay eventually watched what Katie was doing and started to lick his own chew. Gradually he got the idea and as you can see he got stuck in - making a right mess in the process. I guess I will be washing dog bedding tomorrow. He took two hours to finish - Katie less than one hour.

It has been wet and windy all day here and it has been difficult to persuade the dogs to go out. Eventually dragged them out as the rain eased a bit this evening - and when we got home it was a mad rush to get toweled off first.  They really are a pair of wimps!
