Endearing

We visited the Assateague National Park in Maryland today and got two incredible surprises:

The first surprise was that the wild horses came out to eat. We were maybe 15 feet from them and one decided to pay me a visit. She came up, rubbed her nose on my arm, gave it a quick lick and then walked off. There are strict rules in place prohibited anyone from going within 10 feet of a wild horse or touching them. If caught, there is a $100 fine. But she came to me so I'm not sure what would have happened if a ranger saw this...

The second surprise was this young deer that I saw out of the corner of my eye as we were driving to the beach. I stopped the car, quietly got out, and approached with caution. She kept grazing as I took pictures. Things were going fine and then momma came out of nowhere with ears flat on her head. She put herself between me and the young one and I quickly put myself in reverse and got the hell out of there.
