Standing tall

Mondays should be banned. Staff shortage again .Two on holiday ,one "couldn't make it ". Went to feed the cattle in the slatted shed only to discover a broken slat and 2 beasts dangling in the hole. Shifted them all to an empty side. Will need to retrieve the broken one and replace it ,but it's a 2 man job !
2 cows into pens with calves - a set of twins and one with no milk.
Went off to Macmerry to get a hydraulic hose fixed,only to have a lorry turn up for barley when I wasn't there,so a quick turn around and back home to load him. On the up side, by that time it had stopped raining long enough to get him loaded!
Passed this guy in Newtongrange, so a quick badly focused shot in the rain.It's sad that the only thing left these days are statues,old winding wheels and museums (or open cast mines )
