Sturnella neglecta

This is a Western Meadowlark I saw at Merced National Wildlife Refuge in the Central Valley today. It was belting its little heart out atop a power pole; it has a very beautiful song, clear like a bell. I liked how the yellow on its breast matched the high voltage sign beneath it.
