Vicars' Close, Wells Cathedral

We spent a happy day in Wells with friends from Nottingham, visiting the cathedral and vicinity. The famous Vicars' Close was built to house the senior choristers, or "vicars"....
Black clouds gathered, but we escaped the threatening storm!
(We made good use of the cathedral's new café for both lunch and tea - highly recommended!)
