Week's End...

a meal for both of us at nice restaurant: 50-60 kuai
nescafe canned coffee: 4 kuai

pretending you're not in China for an hour: priceless
About once a month, we splurge and get Starbucks coffees (the
equivalent of almost 10USD). Today was one of those days. We took the
crowded, hot bus for 30 minutes down to the closest big shopping
center and just sat in Starbucks for close to three hours, using the
FAST internet and enjoying the peace and quiet. There's nobody
staring, nobody hawking loogies, no cars honking and plenty of
personal space, something that's hard to come by in the rest of
crowded China. Don't worry, we still love you China, but sometimes
it's nice to get a break!
Also pictured is the world's best computer, my iPod and my super cute
wallet purchased in HK. What more do you need? Oh yeah, and my super
cute husband sitting behind that computer. :)
