a long time coming

finally the first bit of coloured paint is applied to the hall after what seems like years - hang on, it is years. Started the cutting in process and then quickly realised that natural light would have been a lot better, but for some reason i just felt a sudden desperation to get the colour on to the wall, at least a small bit. This was a practice adopted by my dad who always liked to "get a wee bit colour on the wall" even if he was nowhere near that stage in the decorating process. For those interested the colour is called Gooseberry Fool 5. This is not immediately apparent from this picture, but it's pale green as with most of the other things in my life
