Autumn leaf

As usual when I'm short of time to get a blip, I went out into the garden this afternoon. However, it was raining heavily, and not really conducive to standing around taking photos, so I thought I'd bring something inside to shoot.

Considering it's mid-October, I was surprised by how few fully-turned autumn leaves there seem to be; I took in three decent ones, and liked this one best.

Victoria's coaching a junior ballet troupe for the school "Music & Drama" event next week, and Rachael's making costumes for them with this purple fabric. I was allowed to use it as a background, as long as I washed and dried the leaves first...
