Time to let go

Newborough beach on the Anglesey coast.

We laughed and danced for joy in the spring here.
We talked of desire.
We bathed in the warm glow of the summer sun here.
We talked of longing.
We soaked in the glory of the autumn rains here.
We talked of life.
We huddled close in the biting winds of winter here
We talked of love.

Then one day.
We talked no more.
I cried and raged against you here.
I forgot how to be happy here.
I forgot how to find my way back here. Until this day.

I crested the dunes and there we were.
Spring, summer, autumn and winter.
All before me.
It had been calling me for so long.
I had been led to a place of peace, and could begin to heal.
