Dentist

R's dentist has moved into new offices.

Their decoration is a notch above the calendar-photo-of-a-harbour taped to the ceiling where we used to go.

I totally am on the side of universally-available healthcare, rather than swanky care for the ones who can afford it.

But this is actually painted on to the wall. And it's one of at least four rooms with different themes for kids. Also, most of the electrical boxes you see near traffic lights at junctions are hand-painted with scenes or local themes. It must employ artists, and it keeps some actual human creative work up front and visible to everyone in a way I don't think exists in Cumbria, as least. And that's A Good Thing, I think.
