Go Slow, Easy Does It

My old cactus friend has lived outside this summer for the first time in the 20+ years we’ve been together.

I have a whole new understanding about this guy.

I used to think his thorny, tough-guy, curmudgeon personality is something to work with and around (no problem though as I like curmudgeons).

By watching this plant in a natural setting I’ve come to know that many critters are seemingly completely at ease with his thorny nature.
