Butterfly Tagging

P and I attended a butterfly tagging event today. It was fun watching the children catch the monarchs and then help apply the tags. Amazing that the monarchs fly to Mexico for the winter. The finder of the tag in Mexico are paid $5 for each one. It was interesting to see all the monarch fly southwest after being tagged - the direction for Mexico!
