Arkansas amsonia

We call this "blue star flower". This is the fall color of the foliage - it really stands out in the garden. It has delicate blue flowers during the summer.

Light rain on and off today, but very balmy and warm temperatures. I met a very mellow young border collie this afternoon while waiting for my car to be serviced. She was with her owner and when they came into the room, the owner immediately told her to sit, which she did. Within seconds she got up and approached a woman sitting in a chair by the door. The owner said,"Oh, someone must have smiled at her." She didn't have a hyper bone in her body, just walked up to people and waited to be petted. Adorable. Her name was Ann.
