Walking above the snow line
Plenty of snow had fallen overnight but the road up to the Grand St Bernard pass was still open and we went for a lovely short walk in one of our favourite areas. It was a little tricky in parts as there was ice and snow, where the temperature had caused the rain to freeze. Our little circular tour was very enjoyable and the icing on the cake was seeing a mountain fox scampering off up the hillside on the very last stretch. Sadly he was too quick for me to blip but wonderfully camouflaged in these glorious orange and browns of autumn.
