great uncle, David Angus Dickson (looking very dapper in a hat) was lost at sea serving on HMS Hawke. his ship was torpedoed by a U boat on the 15th October, 1914.
he was 17.
here he (2nd from the right) is messing about with his brothers on a friendlier boat on the Thames.
today my brother has gone to Chatham Royal Dockyard Memorial to lay a wreath.
