Feeding frenzy

Suffering from "cabin fever" after an horrendously wet day I finally pulled on some boots to get out for a walk just before 6 p.m. There were masses of Pheasants feeding in the fields and these have been bred for the local shoot, either bought in as chicks or reared from eggs. This is why they tend to stick together in groups.
