I took many street photographs and some portraits today in Istanbul. Most people didn't mind being photographed and the reality was that almost everywhere you looked in the city centre and around the main tourist sites there was someone with a camera. So it was pretty hard to avoid being photographed if anyone caught the photographer's eye.

I liked the trams, particularly those with large adverts on the side and the contrast as they passed people on the streets. This photo was taken from a window seat in the Blu kitchen - a great place to stop for tea and coffee as well as to watch the world go by.
