Poor Slappy

After poor Slappy, the brown pelican was summarily dismissed by Ursetta the egret, he decided to cheer himself up with a little disco number, done solo. Ursetta was so upset by his display that she and a group of her BFF's jumped off the pier to get away from Slappy and his big white buddy. And while all this silliness was going on, Big Blue Eyes, the ibis tried to get a quick bird-nap. However, the Pondhawks were not to be deterred from their very sexy date at the pond..

So, for a day when I still can't do much walking, I managed to get out at Seminole Park for a little while, and then spent an hour at St. John's Pass this afternoon, sitting on the breakwater watching people fish and birds do funny things. And because one can't have all play and no work, I did spend several hours in the office this morning. Little Igor watched me through the window. Phoebe watched Igor through the window. I'm pretty happy to have windows...
