The "perched village" of Éze, near Nice

As we drove from Italy into France, along the coast, we hoped to stop off at Éze, a few miles east of Nice, where we had been before, but there no parking places for "camping cars"... We stopped for lunch beside the highway to Nice, and looked back to see how Éze sits on the top of a steep slope down to the sea.

(Most of France is very campervan/motorcaravan friendly - indeed enough French people own camping cars to be a political force to be reckoned with - but not Nice; we could drive through but not stop, and had to go quite far to find a suitable campsite that evening.)
