High Crag beck
Went to Castlerigg this morning but with 10/10 cloud which was grey and flat we gave it up after and hour and returned to Keswick for breakfast.
About 10:30 we collected our Scottish friends and drove south to Rosthwaite for what we assumed was to be a pleasant walk up to Watendlath Tarn and around via Dock Tarn to return to where we had left our vehicle.
It was hard going with the majority of the paths being made from broken boulders all at different angles and sizes.
CP really struggled to cover the ground but managed wonderfully well and we all returned safe and sound.
My picture is of a gully falling from High Crag on its way to Derwent Water, and reminded us of the Great Wall of China, maybe a bit smaller but in the same vein.
On arriving back at our caravan I got her a large G&T which seemed to do the trick.
