Wombat's world

An interesting day at work today, part of which was spent taking photos of a large cuddly wombat. As you do! This is Ozzie the wombat contemplating the map of the world which is on our wall, carefully cropped to keep a certain other blipper happy (you know who you are). Ozzie had some creative photographic farewells from his previous home across the Atlantic, so we felt we had to come up with some fun welcome shots of him in his new home. Ozzie's owner started work with us today, and given she brought a large stuffed wombat, it seems likely she will fit right in with the general daftness. Tomorrow you may see him firing a water pistol at some pigeons which just won't let some of my colleagues work. We tried that today, but I didn't have my polariser with me, and there was just too much glare on the glass to get more than a pigeon ghost. I assure you that neither wombats nor pigeons were hurt in the production of today's blip.

Callum had a very good day today, with his oxygen down to 45% - lately we've been glad to see it getting as low as 65%. He's been re-paralysed after getting too used to the sedation and fighting it all the time, but got a gold star for very good behaviour today! Here's hoping he keeps it up!
