Derelict Thursday - Well he thinks so!

His head is still scrambled.
He is trussed up like a turkey
Wearing stockings like a girl
..and he feels like a "Derelict"!!!

He managed the two hour drive home from hospital pretty well, but pleased to be home. Now the recuperation starts, three months trussed up like this!

You may have noticed by the Metadata, I am now using my original eight year old Canon 5D.!!!

Last December, one month out of it's warranty, the rubber toggle switch on the back of my 5D Mark 3 broke. Canon wouldn't cover it as they said it was wear and tear, so $150 for a repair.

Now 9 months later, the same thing has happened again. I googled the problem and found a number of others with the same issue, but Canon said that it was not a notifiable problem, they suggested it may be caused by my camera bag....the same one that I have been using for the past 8 years with no other problems. They won't accept that there is a design fault.

So I am caught between a rock and a hard place, I need to get it repaired, and the only place to get it done is with Canon...and it will cost another $150...and will be without it for at least two weeks...and with no guarantee that it won't happen again.

I am sorry about this rant, but I feel extremely frustrated and disappointed with Canon's attitude. Grrrrrrr!
