Glasgow
Today we did a trip to Glasgow on the train - an hour from Edinburgh and only costing us around 8 pound each!
It was a busy trip as we wanted to see as much as possible so we decided to jump onto one of the city tour buses which you can get off and on throughout the whole day. Our first stop was a market which was full of second hand goods before making our way over to the People's Palace situated in the middle of Glasgow Green. We then headed onto the Cathedral where St Mungo's tomb is situated before heading back into town to have a look around the Glasgow Gallery of Modern Art.
After walking around for most of the day and all of us being hungry we decided to go search for somewhere to eat. Buchanan Street is where we headed where we were quite surprised to find an impressive market full of food and trinkets from all over the world. After choosing a Paella for lunch and then some Dutch Pancakes for dessert we hopped back on the bus to finish off the day.
On the last leg of the trip we visited the Clyde Bridge (pictured above), the BBC centre, the Hydro, the University of Glasgow, the Botanic Gardens, Hillhead (where all the nice houses are) and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
After a day packed full of walking and touring we headed back to Edinburgh to relax.
