le Mont Saint Michel

Some rain in the night with a sunny start to the day. We headed towards the amazing looking Le Mont St Michel although there is no way to pass by taking a shot. There are numerous car parks and about a 3 km walk to the village. I set off walking with the camera, John was feeling 'indisposed'. We didn't want to spend time here, just to capture a shot. Well, it was all very organised with free shuttle buses, or a ride in a horse with carriage - not free - plus a good walk way and cycle route. I walked about a km, such a pleasure in the warm sunshine with the wonderful aroma of fennel along the way. There was no sign of John and I decided to return to make sure he was ok. He was, sort of, poor chap. Anyway a place to return to for a day another time.
