Snakes

Thursday is my busy day and this Thursday was no exception.

I learnt, years ago that the German for a queue was 'schlange'* but I always thought that maybe there was a proper word for it too because a schlange is also a snake...no, I discovered today, there is no other word...I did enjoy asking my class if they knew how to spell queue, I wonder if more fun could be had by asking them to pronounce it...


* just don't ask me if it's der, die or das!
