Charming
corner of the campus, Manchester University.
The Museum has a fine exhibition of artefacts from Siberia. The nice man on the door explained that sadly, regulations meant they couldn't bring the mammoths. Oh well.
Travelled home today, sitting opposite a nice man with a calculator, amending figures on someone's technical report. I was delighted that he found something to smile at in a BSI specification of what appeared to be stress loadings for concrete. After two days on the design of assessments and mark schemes, with reference to a taxonomy of outcome spaces - and finding it all delightful in the opportunities for pedantry - I felt relatively well-adjusted in his company.
