Outback.

Firstly, apologies for not replying to anyone from yesterday yet. I've been out and about and am only settling down now at 9.30pm Thurs.
Some updates:
I had my appointment with Social Services on Monday. On Tuesday they rang me to tell me that everything had been approved and that my money (backdated) would be in the Post Office on Thursday. Super fast. I have been hearing horror stories of nine to twelve weeks waiting. So, thumbs up, and well done to the civil servants.
I went into that junk shop that I blipped a few days ago to get my yellow bar stool (in need of renovation) and the elegant proprietor was looking for 85 quid for it. I don't think she wants to part with anything.
The weird stuff inside the shop was mind blowing. You could fill a month of blips in there alone.
Some of you are very talented artists (Gill immediately springs to mind.) and I have always been in awe of that particular gift. I can't draw a straight line.
I have only painted one picture in my life, and that's it above.
It was during the Christmas holidays about 25 years ago and I was bored out of my tree. I borrowed the kid's paint sets that they got as presents and tried to copy a painting that I liked from a colour plate in one of my old encyclopedias. I thought that it was crap but the Redhead liked it and insisted that I make a frame for it. It still hangs on the wall.
For those of you who are into this stuff the original was by Sidney Nolan, an Australian modern artist and was one of his Outback landscape series.
