Sofala's on..........

the move!!

On our way home to the Blue Mountains today we made a diversion so that we could visit the historic town of Sofala. I had never been there and it was definitely on my "Bucket List". It was so encouraging to see that the town is not dying, in fact the towns folk are making a big effort to restore the historic buildings as you will see from this absolute cracker. This old timber building is being restored using recycled timber and next time we visit it should be standing tall and proud once again.

I had three images to choose from and at the end I couldn't go past the sign on the town community centre. I'm just glad I live a little closer to medical services than the people in Sofala!! I've also added this image of the tiniest little cottage I think I've every seen. No we're not buying it!!
