Stand back - this earthworm is loaded!

And she's not afraid to use it.

V. found this lively fellow as we left the house this morning on our way to her school. It was right next to the planter that contains the tomato plant, Gonzo, and parts of Monstro, the pumpkin plant that has been conspiring with Monstro to take over the front yard. They are both in very good quality soil, as the size and sprightliness of our earthworms attests. This earthworm, I suspect, was going AWOL.

With a little persuasion, it was returned to the planters. Hopefully it learned its lesson.
