Gramma's trunk

I helped my Dad today at the old house. This trunk was one of the things that came out of the attic. In it was a white purse and some fabulously scratchy shawls that once belonged to Grandma K. We were amazed to find, inside the purse, an envelope containing about fifty letters that my grandpa had written to her from his service in World War II. I did not open them but sent them just as they were for my mom to read first. I mourn the days of a fabulously written, gossipy letter delivered to ones mailbox. The descendants of today's servicemen will be unlikely to find text messages in a trunk. Therefore I must step up my calligraphy lessons so I can start sending letters to everyone.
