Back to the Beach

After a couple of days up in the desert, I had to check out the beach on my return to Muscat. It was still there and it was still busy.

Part of the beach had been taken up by Oman Sail who provided a number of opportunities for youths to experience various forms of boating activity. One involved a group straddling a yellow canoe and being towed out to sea by a speedboat. At an appropriate distance from the shore, the speedboat started going round in tighter and tighter circles. It also went faster and faster with the inevitable consequence that everyone on the canoe fell off. What fun!

The catamaran was altogether more sensible.
