We definitely picked the best day for a trip to Bristol - good job Graham!
We got a lift to the station in the morning so got an earlier train than we'd hoped - and it was one that took half the time. We had a sunny walk around the docks and the cathedral, then went on a search for a music shop. Had a stop for hot chocolate and a read of the paper, then found the violin shop we were looking for - and they had the cello straps Graham was looking for! Hurray.
Next stop was Cabot Circus, looked in lotttts of shops but I don't think we bought anything. Meandered back to the harbour, and had lunch on a bench looking at the boats. Went to the Arnolfini and M Shed museum before going back to Taunton.
Doomed trip around town trying to find a pasty (Somerset, you disappoint), ended up grabbing some food from Morrisons to eat at home.
I got the train at 6.30 (apparently I missed G running along the platform as my train left, he described it as Mr-Bean-esque) and was home by 9.45. Sleeeeepy.
