Light rays

If he can have light rays, then so can I. One might call Zadar the 'poor woman's Dubrovnik'. For me, it's better. Less soigne. More real. Less touristy. Less packed. And more sea.

After yesterday's welcome to Zadar walk, this morning we walked most of the way around the peninsula, getting slightly distracted at the end. Then after breakfast, we walked to the bus station to buy some bus tickets, and back again. All told about 10 kms. After a bit of time seeing off the heat of the day in the apartment, we went back down to the water so that I could swim. The water was 22 degrees. Nae bad at all. Clean. And empty in the water. The only other people in there were some Norwegian women. All appreciating the warmth.

After that, some beers whilst people watching in Narodni trg, then home again for chicken salad with lots of lovely ingredients sourced from the green market around the corner.

A lovely first full day here. And I read some interesting stuff in and amongst.
