The door in the wall.

Remember those kids stories that started with a strange experience in the normal world? The man no one else could see. Or the unexpected parcel. The forbidden book, or talking animal. When these things appeared you knew exciting things were going to happen.

I stood in front of this door and felt myself on the brink of adventure.

But the weather was miserable, and it was obviously someone's house, and my adult adventures have translated into extreme sports and foreign holidays.

So I went home.....
