Beech avenue

Spent yesterday evening and early this morning in another frenzy of cleaning and tidying, in preparation for another house viewing.

Then, after much needed strong coffee, we decided to take the rest of the day off and headed down to Kielder, in search of red squirrels.

Sadly, no squirrels on this occasion! But it was a very good day out all the same. Fabulous view of the hills on the way there. Two nice walks in the woods near Kielder Castle in unseasonably warm weather (up to 18deg) - some incredibly beautiful autumn foliage. Late lunch in the Kielder Castle Cafe and, on the way home, a fish & chip supper in Alnwick.
