Portrait of a Marmoset
While in Rio de Janeiro, you cannot miss going to the top of the Sugarloaf Mountain (396m). This is what I did today. And I could have chosen to show a dramatic picture of the mountain emerging from the morning mist aboard the cabe-car.
But I chose to show this cute marmoset instead!
To get to the top of the Sugarloaf, you need to take two cable cars. The first goes to Morro da Urca 220m above the bay of Rio. It is a protected area for plants and animals. I was surprised to see so many marmoset monkeys there. These tiny long-tailed South American primates are so cute. I couldn't resist taking a few shots and choose one as my blip of the day!
