Crossing

On board the 4pm ferry from Wemyss Bay to Rothesay, the start of a week’s holiday on Bute. Looking forward to plenty of outdoorsness – photos, drawing, nature-spotting, wandering, stone-skimming, coffee from a flask, beach action, a bit of home-baking, fish and chips, a pint or two in a country pub, holiday kind of stuff.

A fabulous start to our stay in our cottage overlooking the Firth Of Clyde (the same cottage we came to last year during what became a mini-heatwave, we’re being quite realistic with our weather expectations this time however) when we spotted an otter and then a seal just off the rocks at the end of our garden.
