The old and the new

I noticed this field flower while walking Riley - it is freshly blooming and is on the same plant as two other dried up flowers.

We had a busy day today. Early morning doctor appointment for Mr M, I went to work late so I could go with him to the appointment, then stayed later than usual at work to make up the time. Lots of housework after I got home, a couple of Mr M' buddies came to hunt with him in the afternoon, They didin't get back until after dark, then we went out for sandwiches. Long, busy day.
