Penguin Watching

Today was lovely, took a drive through to the other end of The Catlins, stopping at a couple of waterfalls then looking for Sea Lions but failing miserably to find any. A failure that really didn't matter because the beach was so beautiful, as was the trip to Jacks Bay and the blowhole there. Later we returned home and had a bite to eat before going back to dodge the "penguin enforcers" and try shooting the little guys... with a camera, that is.

While waiting on sleepy penguns to return to their nest, I got the filters out and began using the fading light to my advantage, this is one of my favorite results along with this one of Nomi you can find here in my blipfolio.

Another lovely day with very little rain considering the large area of rain forest and the trio of tourists that basically called us liars when we told them we managed to see a penguin in the fading light. Nothing can phase me in this beautiful landscape and with such wonderful company.
