Apples galore

Blustery but sunny and mild day today so perfect weather for a trip to RHS Hyde Hall! They had an Autumn Festival on this weekend so there were stalls and tents featuring a whole range of autumnal products! They had wood carving demonstrations, different veg on display and even a mini farm featuring sheep, goats, chickens, bunnies and a guineapig!

One of the most popular tents was the apple (and cider!) testing tent and we eventually managed to elbow our way to the front for some apple testing! They had quite a few varities to try so after sampling most of them I kept going back to the Spartan variety! It was amazing that there were such different tastes to the apples but the Spartan was beyond delicious! will definitely look into buying those apples now if i see them, or even find a tree to plant in the garden!
