Graveyard, St Mary's Church, Kirkby Lonsdale

It was quite misty this morning and we had a short wander around the churchyard which was just behind The Sun Inn where we've stayed for the last couple of nights. It was so atmospheric with the sunlight trying to break through.

We then set off for Ingleton to walk the famous waterfalls walk. The photography was a bit hit and miss as it was a beautifully sunny day and I had no tripod.

We first came here over 15 years ago on our first weekend away together. We'd gone to York and then did this walk on the way home.

This weekend, we've had a great time and will hopefully be back. Kirkby Lonsdale is a great spot not only for both The Yorkshire Dales and The Lake District, but in it's own right. On both our main walks we'd set off walking from Kirkby Lonsdale without heading into either of the national parks.
