Hengitsbury Head
Mid afternoon, we went for a walk along the foot of the cliffs at Hengitsbury Head, then at Mudeford we returned over the top with fine views of Christchurch Harbour and the surrounding area, The setting sun lit up the cliffs, really interesting geological layers. Bands of iron stone, with russet ironstone doggers lying along the cliff foot. They were quarried from here in years past.
We weren't the only people enjoying the late afternoon sunshine.
