The explorer

The lovely Raoul's vivarium was due for a major cleaning session this weekend. So he had a longer than usual outing to explore one of his favourite places, the sitting room sofa. There is nothing he seems to enjoy more than slithering around, over and under the cushions, and peeking out from some shady crevice.

Raoul is a Marmite pet, a great divider of opinion. I find him beautiful and fascinating, as do some of our family and friends. Others are less keen, and recoil from any interaction with a snake, even one as calm and unaggressive as a Corn Snake. Odd that. How could anyone not be beguiled by him?
