Korona, a poor man's billiard?

The national B-girls' I division started today and Emma's team had a home game against HNMKY.

Kids dug out our Korona game from the basement yesterday and games have continued today. Korona is a Finnish "strike and pocket" table game, a version of Carrom, bit similar to billiards and table shuffleboard. The objective of the game is to pocket disks by hitting a cue disk with a wooden cue stick. The Korona board is made of plywood, and it is made slippery by spreading potato starch on it. The game can be played by 2-4 persons. The first player to pocket all his eight target disks is the winner.
