Little ferry, big ferry!

Today we got the metro to South Shields and did some cycling around town, stopping off to visit family and Minchellas for an ice-cream on the way. We the took the ferry across the Tyne from South Shields to North Shields and saw an assortment of other ships on the way, including a huge ship going out to the north sea oil rigs with a helipad, some fishing boats and this large passenger ferry that goes to Amsterdam. I took this pic of the large ferry by the little ferry that we'd just been on. It made lots of waves as it passed and really rocked the ferry landing we were standing on!
After that we cycled along the coast through North Shields and around Tynemouth before catching the metro home. My legs are going to ache tomorrow! :)
