Scenes from everyday life

Stocks

We visited Clare's dad today near Northampton. We went out for lunch to the Four Pears in Little Houghton. The food was great when it arrived but we think the kitchen lost our order as it took 50 minutes to be served and only appeared after we'd chased it up.

After lunch we strolled through the village. Little Houghton is home to a fine pair of stock, last used in the 1800s on a case of drunkeness and wife beating.
