Dead heart of NYC ...

We have been living in New York for nearly 2 years and I have been trying to get this shot since we arrived ... as it involves hanging out of a moving vehicle crossing the Brooklyn Queens Expressway. Just love the juxtaposition between the hustle + bustle of NY and the eternal quiet of the cemetery ... just a river and a breath dividing them.

The population of NYC is 8.5M and the number of people interned in this cemetery is 1.7M. Now, that must be a profitable business.

Worth a look in large if you have time.
