Imperial War Museum, London

Both Peter and I had the day off so we took ourselves up to The Imperial War Museum.
There is an excellent WW1 gallery that I wanted to see.

I chose this shot of part of the munitions display as my paternal grandmother worked in a munitions factory during WW1. She did eventually get the sack for misbehaving or just "giggling" as she told me.... naughty. Not the kind of work that lends itself to misbehaving being a highly dangerous place to work. Fortunately she lived to the ripe old age of 96 so she was a walking talking history book for me and my sister as we grew up. I do have a picture of her in her munition outfit somewhere so I will look that out and blip it at some point.
