Fire

In the sky - flying home. A very early start meant the sun was rising just as we approached Stansted.

Then the problems started - the battery was flat in our car, so we waited an hour for help to arrive (it took the mechanic less than a minute to get us going) - worried about the car stalling, we were stuck in a traffic jam for ages near Bow, due to an accident. Eventually we managed to get home - phew!

This evening we went to Linda’s send-off do in Blackheath - she will be working for 6 months in Singapore.

We got to bed just shy of 24 hours after we got up.
