Planting tubs

Yesterday, I attempted to dig some planting holes below the wooden posts that have been made into a low fence by the builders. We have attached trellis to the posts and the intention was to grow clematis and climbing roses. I dug down no more than a foot and hit solid concrete. The posts have been well and truly cemented in so planting anything large was a no no.

We thought about getting some deep pots and then found these wooden planters at the garden centre which fit in nicely with the wooden theme. If the weather permits tomorrow, I will have a go at planting one of them.
